I’m the youngest girl of 4 (and then there is my baby brother, he isn’t relevant right now lol) but growing up I got A LOT of hand-me-downs. We usually only got our own new clothes at Christmas, Birthdays and back to school. All of my sisters had way different styles, from American flag bell bottoms, jumpsuits (before jumpsuits were cool), and a whole bunch other 90’s classic gear that spread across the 90’s spectrum. I learned to work with what I had. More importantly, I have learned to dress for my body type. This took years of trial and error…and error…..and error.
For me, clothes are an expression of who I am. Someday’s I’m basically Beyonce, someday’s I feel more classic and try to go for a Kate Middleton vibe. I pretty much miss the mark on both of them…BUT I 100% thrive and dominate the majority of my days, between “I’m not sure if I brushed my hair” and “Wow, I can’t believe I look like I have it kind of together today”
